Joan Laidig is an Indiana native, who calls Los Angeles her home.  Working as a psychologist, she initially pursued ceramics to create a source of play in her life.  Now that pursuit has become her passion.  Joan creates unique, functional work with a graphic appeal.  Her work conveys a modern sensibility designed to evoke lightness and joy.
