The vase in the image is a Murano glass vase, likely from the 1960s, made in the "sommerso" technique. The vase features a multifaceted design and is made of smoky grey blown glass.  The "sommerso" technique, which means "submerged" in Italian, involves layering different colors of glass, creating an effect where one color appears to be suspended within another.
 
The vase was produced by Mandruzzato.
