This charming spoon and fork set date from 1924-1932.  Manufacturered by S. Kirk & Son, Inc. (Stieff) in a French Repousse style.  This is a decorative metalworking technique in which a malleable metal is shaped by hammering from the reverse side to create a design in low relief.

Repousse silver by S. Kirk & Son, Co. (aka Kirk Stieff) is the oldest silverware pattern produced in the United States, debuted in 1828 as Hollow ware and as Flatware in 1846. The pattern is ornately elegant with an intricate floral design.
